Fritz Huns Trophy
30/08/09
The Fritz Huns Trophy forms the centrepiece of the club's new logo.
Fritz was a member of the Matlock Camera Club for many years. He was a very talented photographer who enjoyed the Derbyshire landscape and captured many outstanding images. Following his death, and in conjunction with his family, it was decided to hold a photographic competition in his name for club members.
The aim is to take Derbyshire landscapes and to present a panel of four pictures on one piece of mounting card. The images should epitomise what the author feels about the chosen place and convey those sentiments in a two dimensional form.

Into the Digital Age
19/01/08
To keep pace with the rapidly changing digital age, Matlock Camera Club has just taken delivery of latest specification Laptop, Digital Projector, Scanner and Printer for the benefit of Members and visitors alike.
The Club was granted funding from the Awards for All Lottery Fund enabling the purchase of the equipment. The Club will now be able to widen its activities for the benefit of the wider community.
‘Many speakers ask us to provide digital equipment whilst more members are exploring the opportunities which digital photography offers. So we felt it important to provide the facilities to meet this demand’, said past Chairman Jim Lambeth, ‘we hope also to be able to help new members who wish to explore this medium further’.
